Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a hands-on Repair & Material Control Technician to support our Vacuum Services operation. This role combines inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving, and mechanical repair of vacuum pumps and related equipment. If you enjoy working with tools, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping operations running efficiently, we'd like to hear from you.

  • Status: Full-Time & Permanent 
  • Working Schedule: Mon-Friday (Daylight shift)

What You'll Do: 

  • Receive, move, store, pick, and ship materials throughout the facility 
  • Process inventory transactions in our ERP system 
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain organized inventory locations 
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, test, and paint vacuum pumps and equipment 
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Vacuum Services equipment 
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs 
  • Operate a variety of shop equipment and material handling devices 
  • Support Lean and 6S initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency 

What We're Looking For 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools 
  • Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills 
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials in a production environment 
  • Inventory, warehouse, maintenance, repair, or manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Ability to obtain and forklift certification and operate safely. 
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 50 lbs. unassisted 
  • Assistance must be used for any items over this weight. Assistance is always required for anything weighing over 60 lbs.
