The Facilities Manager provides strategic leadership for the maintenance, operation, safety, and continuous improvement of all company-owned and leased facilities across the United States. This role oversees facility operations, building systems, capital projects, and fleet management to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable support of business operations.
Leading a team of facilities professionals and external contractors, the Facilities Manager is responsible for developing preventive maintenance programs, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across multiple locations. The role partners closely with executive leadership to develop long-term facility strategies that support organizational growth, employee safety, business continuity, and an exceptional workplace environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of all U.S. facilities, grounds, infrastructure, and building systems
- Develop and maintain facility policies, procedures, standards, and preventive maintenance programs
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing facilities team; establish goals, staffing plans, and performance expectations
- Manage building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, security, utilities, and life-safety systems
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Manage facility vendors, contractors, and service providers, including contract administration and performance oversight
- Lead facility renovations, expansions, remodels, and capital projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget
- Conduct facility assessments and implement improvements that enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and appearance
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety, fire, building, and other regulatory requirements
- Manage emergency preparedness, business continuity, and facility recovery programs
- Oversee the company vehicle fleet, including maintenance, utilization, replacement planning, compliance, and vendor management
- Partner with executive leadership on facility master planning, capacity expansion, site development, and long-term growth initiatives
- Develop facility metrics and provide recommendations that support operational excellence and employee experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
- 10+ years of progressive facilities, maintenance, or plant engineering leadership experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical and building systems knowledge including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility infrastructure
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and facility service agreements
- Proven ability to develop budgets and manage facility-related expenditures
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility maintenance management software (CMMS preferred)
- Ability to travel between company locations as required and active driver’s license
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience managing capital projects and facility expansions
- OSHA, safety, environmental, or facility management certifications
- Fleet management experience
