Summary:
This role is essential for managing our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance. Key responsibilities include supplier quality management, CAPA, internal audits, and customer quality. You will manage supplier qualifications, lead audits, handle corrective actions, spearhead CAPA initiatives, conduct internal audits, and address customer quality concerns

Supplier Quality Management:
  • Conduct supplier audits and manage qualification processes.
  • Develop and maintain supplier scorecards.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and product management to address quality issues.
Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA):
  • Lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and monitor preventative action plans.
  • Manage the CAPA program and track metrics.
  • Facilitate CAPA meetings and ensure compliance with regulations.
Internal Auditing:
  • Perform internal audits for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Prepare audit reports and follow up on corrective actions.
Customer Quality:
  • Complete and maintain quality documentation for customer projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer audits.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve quality issues.
General Responsibilities:
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings on quality issues.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training on quality topics.
  • Assist in developing quality policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or related quality field
  • In-depth knowledge of a formal quality management system (i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16494, etc.)
  • Strong problem solving skills (root cause identification and resolution, etc.)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 50 lbs unassisted. Assistance must be used for any items over this weight.  Assistance is always required for anything weighing over 60 lbs
  • The ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
Preferred
  • Strong lean management experience (6S, kaizen, A3, 8D, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
