Job Summary: 
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for atomic scale processing, including Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Plasma-Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposition (PEALD). Responsibilities include leading projects, interfacing with various operational resources, and developing ALD and PEALD products. The role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, and may include fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, creative, and possesses strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and time management skills. 

  • Lead and collaborate with resources across operations (engineering, material control, assembly, test, and service) to achieve quality objectives; may oversee and direct others 
  • Drive product scalability in Microsoft Dynamics 365 
  • Lead product development projects, including improvements and new developments 
  • Assemble and test prototypes 
  • Create project budgets and timelines 
  • Collaborate with manufacturing for cost-effective fabrication 
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors for custom components 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues 
  • Provide detailed project reports 
  • Participate in industry conferences and workshops 
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed 
  • Ensure compliance with workplace policies and safety procedures 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

Required 

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering required and 5 years of related experience; or a MS degree with 3 years of related experience 
  • Strong 3D CAD experience 
  • Expert level GD&T skills 
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to, and including, 50 lbs unassisted. Assistance must be used for any items over this weight. 

Preferred 

  • Two (2) years’ experience with Solid Edge or other mid-range modeling package 
  • Three (3) years of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Plasma-Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposition (PEALD) product development experience 
  • Hands on experience with Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Plasma-Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposition (PEALD) processes and equipment
