Overview of Responsibilities:
The Production Controller will expedite movement of all jobs through the shop, including guiding the resources needed for production projects. The employee will work with all levels of the business to evaluate current and forecasted business levels. They will identify potential issues that would prevent a job from being on time to the customer and expedite to get the job back on track. They are responsible for ensuring the ERP milestone dates are maintained in order to deliver products on-time to end users. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Key Job Elements:
  • Actively reviews jobs to identify problem areas and works inter-departmentally to resolve issues.
  • Works within Power BI to understand backlog and can make quick decisions to help support On Time Delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Works with Manufacturing engineering, Procurement, Material Control, and shop floor supervisors on solutions to keep jobs on schedule
  • Answer questions and resolves problems that arise with regards to specific project schedules
  • Knowledge of all non-conformances identified on jobs that could affect scheduled delivery, expedite processing of non-conformance to keep the job on track
  • Analyze scheduled and actual completion dates, identify areas for improvement
  • Ensures timely compliance with company workplace policies and procedures, including human resource policies and safety
  • Works closely with Production Planner and Production Control Supervisor
  • Responsible for maintaining performance measures and contributing to creation of new measures to support departmental and the companies overall growth
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
  • ​​Associates Degree or 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, and supply chain activities​
  • Use ERP capacity planning tools to make necessary recommendations to the Production Control Supervisor to maintain on time delivery​
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient using ERP, Excel, and Microsoft Products​
  • Strong team communication with good cross-collaboration abilities​
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks as assigned regarding Production Planning/Scheduling ​
  • Analyze delivery data for ways to continuously improve on time delivery​
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Must be able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently
