The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician III applies their mechanical and electrical assembly expertise to build, modify, and test standard and custom products, sub-assemblies, and systems. Working from schematics, work instructions, and technical documentation, this role transforms designs into finished solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Reports To: U.S Assembly Manager 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems
  • Install and route electrical wiring, tubing, and plumbing components within system frameworks
  • Mount and integrate mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Perform helium leak detection and testing
  • Support quality control, production scheduling, and daily department activities as needed
  • Train and mentor technicians on assembly methods, techniques, and best practices
  • Interact with customers and perform on-site service work when required
  • Safely operate hand tools, measuring equipment, and portable power tools
  • Perform basic manual machining operations as needed
  • Complete work in a logical, organized, and efficient manner while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related mechanical, electro-mechanical, or systems assembly experience
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to safely lift items over 30 lbs. with assistance
  • Team lifting or mechanical assistance required for items weighing more than 60 lbs.
Preferred
  • Vocational or technical training
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Basic understanding of vacuum technology, leak detection, and related systems
