Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) is seeking a Quality Intern to join our Quality team in Jefferson Hills, PA. This is a hands-on, onsite internship focused on supporting the Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS and EMS) through documentation control, data analysis, and continuous improvement activities. This position is ideal for engineering students interested in gaining real-world experience in a manufacturing and quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update quality and environmental documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records
  • Ensure quality and environmental documents are properly controlled and accessible
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality department
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Participate in root cause analysis and support implementation of long-term corrective actions across departments
  • Compile and analyze quality and environmental data to generate reports supporting QMS and EMS improvement initiatives
  • Work within the Quality and Environmental Management Systems, including Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, and related objectives
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
  • Currently finishing 2nd or 3rd year of college in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Interest in problem-solving and root cause analysis
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards
